Not sure, but it seems more like bird-dogging to me. People find a house and pass it on to investors. I don't think they actually put it under contract.

You can bring in an equity partner or borrow from a friend or relative. You can also take out a home equity loan.

I totally understand why such a disclosure is necessary. I've been around BP as a free member for a while as I just upgraded to pro a few days ago. I know who you're talking about, these people only post about their employer and you never see them talk about anything else. Maybe in the next update of the app they will fix this so there is no confusion. Thanks

Bill, I'm using the mobile app and it still isn't asking me to check a box before I post. Just so we are clear, I, Harvie Arington am a customer of Lifestyles Unlimited. Anything I post about Lifestyles Unlimited is strictly from my personal experience and should not be construed as an endorsement of Lifestyles Unlimited. I am not compensated in any way by Lifestyles Unlimited. Furthermore, by not checking a box that I do not see I am not in any way attempting to bypass any Bigger Pockets protocols. Thank you, Harvie Arington

Jon, I have worked with two lenders who are vendors at LU. Both were very professional. I have also utilized discounts offered through their membership.

James, I am also a member of LU at the $500 level. I joined before I discovered BP. While I don't have any plans to upgrade my membership with them, I do take advantage of their vendor discounts. They also have a huge vendor list that helps to find the handymen, etc. needed to invest in real estate. That said, BP is by far the best resource I have found for RE investing. Not only is it FREE, but you can learn the niche you are interested in, not just what someone is selling.

A lot of county tax assessors will have everything on a disk you can buy, but you will have to clean it up before you use it. You can also ask your title company. Most times they will give it to you. Good luck!

Look into San Antonio. Lots of houses in that price range.

Happy hunting.

Thanks for the thread Eduardo! Thanks to everyone else for your help. I'm still working a JOB until I get enough business going that I can do this full time, so I'm not sure how much help I would be as an assistant. How about a hybrid position... In exchange for a realtor letting me be and unlicensed assistant to get mls data I refer leads that I can't use to them. This way they aren't bothered all the time and they still get new leads.
