I believe those calculators are not including taxes (or Escrow).  Lots of mortgage payments include these since the bank wants to make sure you pay your taxes.  Sites like Zillow and truila tend to estimate the property taxes or provide you recent numbers.  You can divide by 12 and that should provide you with a good approximation of your property taxes each month.

Thanks guys!  I've been to a couple of the webinars, but usually the timing doesn't work out for me.  I always pause what I am doing and really take in when the last question of the "famous four" is asked.  Everyone's responses always seem like they are talking to me, funny enough.

Howdy,

I am mid-twenty Mechanical Engineer by day, but a hobby personal finance blogger by night.  I am currently living and working outside of Boston, but I have a committed girlfriend that I visit very often in central New Jersey.

Besides helping my parents taking care of their home and being handy, I do not have much experience as a real estate investor.  I do enjoy reading books and forums, listening to the podcasts, and talking about it with my family.

I blog about what I am learning about as a way to further my knowledge.  I am interested in learning more and more about real estate investing, becoming a landlord, and possibly doing a flip or two.

I enjoy what I do currently, but after listening Rich Dad, Poor Dad and others, I would like to create more income streams.  I wouldn't mind if they are passive or not.

Anyways, thanks for the welcomes and I'll see you around!

Thanks,
