"...there are not thousands of investor just clamoring to do business with newer investors who have little training and no capital."

I agree, Jay!  His claim is ludicrous.

Mimi, you won't get "low fees" and "newbie mentoring" at the same time.  I hang my license with a flat fee broker, but I'm experienced and require no mentoring.  Your expectations are unreasonable, so I suggest you go with the Keller Williams suggestion.  They're a good franchise.  Good luck!

James, you won't be able to use any borrowed money--hard or otherwise--for the down payment.  You'll have to show seasoned money in a bank account--yours or a partner.

I'm listening to one of his webinars now.  He now says he participates in projects "large and small."

The speaker--Dave Lindahl himself no longer conducts the boot camps--said that each of the coaches--that is, the people who run around setting up the room, interviewing potential students, etc.--"are all multi-millionaires."  I find this hard to believe.  If you were a multi-millionaire real estate investor, would you travel around the country shlepping workbooks, checking the sound system and making sure the candy dish is filled?

Today is Day 2 of Dave Lindahl's 3-day boot camp in Downey, CA.  A lot of information was presented, but surely not enough to help you feel comfortable enough to do a deal!  That much comfort costs $38,999--today only, of course--otherwise, $44,000.  It seems to me that 44 grand would go a long way toward buying lunches for people you meet at various networking events.  I also think that everything you need to know can be found here on Bigger Pockets and/or a Bigger Pockets Pro account (<$500/year).  What's the difference if you find the information you need here or on Lindahl's members-only website?  None.

I’m sitting at this moment in a Dave Lindahl 3-day workshop.  I’m the guest of a paying attendee, so it’s not costing me anything to pick up some tips.  The whole shootin’ match—coaching, access to PM, sponsorship if you find a deal, etc—now costs $38,995—today only, of course.

When a presentation STARTS OUT with exaggeration, my guard goes up.  Right out of the gate, the presenter said he previewed FIFTEEN THOUSAND something-or-others.  A thousand of anything would take weeks if not months, so 15,000 would take years.  Sorry...too much hype...too many unbelievable claims...too little proof.

I will say this:  that's one of the best WebinarJam presentations I've ever seen.  The graphics are awesome.
