Hey all,

I was wondering if any of you have or encourage building a website when starting out with real estate investing? I am specifically interested in wholesaling to start. When wholesaling, do you find that having a website legitimizes your services?

I am interested in your input as well as your site links so that I can see what is out there if so.

Thanks!

It depends on how you are marketing. True way to legitimize yourself is by doing what you say you are going to do. Wholesalers have such a bad reputation because many just go on mls, low ball offers and try and wholesale a deal on the MLS, or will get a deal from another wholesaler and mark it up and the investor has seen it from the original wholesaler and 3 other daisy chains.

Key is to find your own deals, analyze them, and know the numbers to assist in finding deals for others and make some money. You do that it does not matter if you have a website as you will build a local network of people who will want to do business with you.

You need to differentiate yourself and ask the question why you over someone else? if you think a website can assist with that than have one, but for starting out I would say save the money.

Hey Chris, thanks for taking the time to comment.

Hi Margarita;

I'm based in Sac but looking right now also in Yuba City for SFH to rent. Last fall I put offers in on some properties in Grass Valley and Nevada City at prices that would at least break even on initial cash flow, but sellers still thought it was Q1 '22 and would rather take their properties off market than sell for less than what they considered them worth.

There are a couple of RE Meet Ups in Folsom and Roseville that are a little closer to you than Sac. The Roseville one is pretty popular, haven't tried the one in Folsom.

I'd be happy to share what I'm finding in Yuba City, just ping me with your email.

 Hey Dakota,

Could you share the details for the Roseville Meet ups

Hi BP community!

I'm new to this forum and to real estate investing in US. I have a few rental properties in my county of origin.

I live not far from Grass Valley and Yuba City and I was wondering if there is anyone from the same area (or maybe Sacramento) who would like to meet?

Regards,

Margarita

 Hey Margarita,

I am located in the Nevada County. I am interested in meeting other investors in the area.
