Hi All,

I'm taking Real Estate classes in Michigan and I was informed that in order to get my license, I must work for a broker. What things should I take into consideration when picking a brokerage to work for? any advice or tips from you all about what to do?

Hi All,

I'm looking to find evictions and tax defaults records. I'm not sure where to find that information, does anyone know who to talk to about finding that information out?

Hi all,

I'm looking to get my feet wet in the real estate world, and I think that it would be a good step to meet people in person that do real estate, and pick their brains.

Does anyone have experience with the local meetup scene in Detroit? If so, which ones would you guys recommend?

I'm a new investor, and I'm considering some strategies to get into real estate. I like the idea of flipping (if done well), but is it considerably more risky to start flipping houses given the current state of the economy?

Hi All,

My name is Lennon, and I'm a new investor in the Detroit Area in Michigan. I'm very interested in Multifamily Properties, and am looking at houses that are being sold on the Wayne County Treasurer's Auction.

I'm looking forward to gaining financial freedom and wealth through Real Estate Investing. Nice to meet everyone!

I was listening to the Bigger Pockets Podcast featuring Ashley Hamilton.

At the 41 Minute Mark(Here), she says that she purchased a property through yearly tax auctions? Is that the same as the Detroit Land Bank Auctions that are ongoing? or is that something different? Can someone point me to resources?

Hi all, I'm a new Pro member and I've been watching a lot of the previous webinars. I'm excited to look for a Multifamily unit and do a little bit of house hacking while I kickstart my use of the BRRRR method.

I''ve been watching a lot of the webinars regarding financing real estate. I don't know anyone who has an IRA that I can convince to lend me money, and I'm not certain if Hard Money Lenders are good for the BRRRR method.

Can someone refer me to some things that can point me in the right direction for proper financing?

I'm under the belief that you shouldn't do BRRRR with a traditional mortgage, they seem to make that clear in the books.
