@Kenneth Garrett

Thanks Kenneth. I was thinking the same but I haven’t heard of a lender that will finance 100% of the purchase. The feedback I’m getting now is 20% down and roll all the rehab costs into the loan. Which then, of course, doesn’t make 10k go a long way. But again, I am new to this so i could be missing something

@Joe Aiola

Thanks Joe. I am in the Delaware area and I am working to make that 10k bigger but it’s a slow process. I just want to make sure i don’t have tunnel vision focusing on BRRRRing if there are other opportunities out there that would be more beneficial now. Of course I wouldn’t mind a short term strategy that would open up opportunities for long term goals.

Hey guys. Newbie here. I was able to save up 10k to start investing in real estate. I've studied the BRRRR strategy for a while now and I'm ready to take the plunge to invest. However, after reading a few blogs here, I wanted to make sure BRRRRing is my best option to start. Are they're other strategies out there that would be more beneficial? I know 10k isn't a lot to start so I would like to hear about what others are doing with little to start or if you are using other peoples money. Thank you in advance.

Hey everyone. I’m pretty new to Bigger Pockets so I apologise if I’m in the wrong category for this question. I purchased my home about 5 years ago and just did a cash out refinance because of all the equity in my home. I was able to get 50k cash. I have been at my logistics job for 11 years now managing the receiving department at a warehouse. My true passion is in real estate. I started building houses when I was 14 years old. I add that in because I can do almost everything to a house myself (that doesn’t require a license) so I imagine I could save thousands of dollars by doing most of my own repairs. I guess what I’m trying to say is that I’m 30 years old. I’ve missed most of my families lives due to my work schedule and I’m just ready to make a change and start my real estate career but I want to make sure I’m doing it correctly. I’ve heard of so many different strategies to start but I’d like to hear what has been successful for others that are or was in a similar situation. Thanks for your input.
