Books are the best life hack.  What book do you feel has made the greatest impact on you and why?  Do you stay focused on one specific subject or dabble in a little of everything?

Greetings fellow BP’s

I am a co-owner of a 10 acre property located in Florida. It was left to me & my siblings by our mother who passed in 2013. It has been a liability thus far as it has cost myself and 2 sisters in taxes every year. The boys of the family simply do not care and pay nothing. Our parents worked very hard to be able to buy the property so it feels wrong to sell it.

So all that being said how could I turn my liability to an asset?

I am at a loss and would love your suggestions!

@Ryan Hazelwood

I’m 38 years of age, I have one rental & working on finding my second. I got my start by buying my first home 3 years ago renovating it and then rented it out. I also am learning everything I can about real estate and investing.

I wish you the best of luck and many beneficial hours of reading 😊

@Jenni Utz

Hello and thank you for the reply.  You have actually given me answers to questions I hadn't had time to ask so thank you very much.  I appreciate the wisdom.  I currently only have one rental and its in that sweet spot I believe.  I do very much want to purchase more.

I was a nurse until an auto accident in 2018 that destroyed any hopes of ever practicing again so I must find another avenue of income.

Thank you so very much.

@David M. Thank you for your reply.  You have given me a lot to consider.  I had thought that it was the best route for taxes and such.  I currently only have one property that I am renting out and plan on purchasing another in the near future.  Im waiting to see what the economy is going to do first.  I don't want to buy to early and then see prices fall

So I am seeing and hearing a lot of chatter about the coming burst. Do you really think it’s coming soon? If so when? Do you see it affecting Florida terribly?

Hello @TwanaRasoul,

Thank you for taking the time to respond. I like the way you think. I did require the tenants to carry rental insurance in case anything happens and I have homeowners insurance of course. So all that is left is the LLC. Am I missing any insurances that you think I should have?
