Novice here! Where do I begin?

Hello Everyone,

So I have purchased my first home, rehabbed it, and am now renting it out. I want to do this process again minus major rehab.

My question is should I get an LLC now or wait until I have more homes?

I am so excited to be a part of such a beneficial group. Thank you in advance for your reply!

Hi @Leatha L. Luttrell welcome to BiggerPockets! Congrats on your first buy and hold! There will be several different opinions on here about LLCs but I will share what I have done. I created an LLC from the start and for each rental I acquire I plan on tying it to its own LLC. This protects me from each asset. If you get an LLC now, just check with your lender that you will not violate the "due on sale" clause when transferring it from you to the LLC. I've never done a transfer but I'm sure someone has and will comment.
