Newbe looking to get started.  I found  a lien where the 2014 is still owed but the current 2015 was paid.  would purchasing the 2014 do me any good, it would still have to be redeemed right?

If both years are owed would I be better off purchasing both or if only one year what gives me the best chance for redeemption.

What would you advise if 1/2 of the taxes have been paid and 1/2 owed, would this be something I should purchase or stay away from.

If 2015 ad 2014 are owed, should I purchase most recent year of delinquent taxes or year before.

I found a lien that 2015 was paid, and 2014 still owed.  would it be a good investment to buy the 2014.  I wondered why they didn't pay the 2014 off first?

I'm ready to start purchasing tax liens.  I have a few questions about the type of purchases.

1.  I found liens due on 2014 however paid in full on 2015, if I purchase the 2014 lien what are my risks?

2.  found liens where 1/2 of the taxes have been paid, 1/2 owed are these purchases considered a good investment.

3.  similar to above, I've seen liens that have a small balance owed, i.e. 2013 paid $400 due $65.  2014 paid 400 due $36  would it be wise to buy the left over amount on these?  were does that put my position?  Let's say I purchase the 2015 owed and those 2 leftover amounts.  Is that a good idea?  I appreciate your advise!

Does anyone know what it costs to set up the LLC. I live in Wash but plan on purchasing tax liens throughout the US. Is it better to set up the LLC in another state? I've heard Nev, Fl or Del are good states to set them up, but I don't know why?

I'm also looking to invest in the delinquent tax liens. I've been doing research for a few months now and still feel I have tons to learn. Any good advise for someone just getting their feet wet would be appreciated. I've been looking into Fl, AZ mostly because I heard that you can buy the county held liens instead of waiting for the yearly auction to come around. Some times these have been referred as over the counter.

I'm interested in buying delinquent tas liens using my self dir IRA, When I moved my 401K to a self dir IRA I thought I was taking the right steps. Now I've been getting a lot of conflicking info. I'm now being told I need to set up an IRA LLC or a checkbook control IRA. Before I spend any more money does anyone know where I can find true information. I've also been quoted the cost can be from $400 to $4000. Why the big difference? I'm open to any suggestions about this pros and cons of this process.

I'm looking to purchase delinquent taxes and want to use my self directed IRA. I'm now being told this sdIRA isn't what I need. I'm unable to get a satisfactory answer on what steps I need to take. I've been quoated form $400 to $4,000 to set this IRA LLC up. If any one can enlighten me on what is necessary to have the checkbook control process set up. I would appreciate it. Any advice on do's and don'ts are also welcome.
