Post: Looking for an Investor for Event Venue

All my normal investors do buildings so they are not interested in a 1500+ event space. I have a friend who used to work in event services and he sees a place that can be made twice as profitable. I just can't find an investor willing to listen to the pitch and financial breakdown. Unfortunately, my network doesn't contain that kind of investor. Anyone here know someone that might?

Did anyone ever reply to you?

My contractor is a good friend and despite being an agent, he is getting advice from his family to go with one agent and his lawyer to go with another. I am just trying to see if anyone out there knows someone interested in 30+ acres in Niagara County?

Quote from @Paul Blair:

I am from Western NY, and am now a broker here in DFW.

When I left western NY I had about 10 rentals, over the years I sold them off as it was hard to keep or find a good management Company.

Challenges were Management, quality of tenants, and maintenance costs.   Winter in Western NY is brutal, so over the years it hits your roof and exterior hard, including and interior wear n tear from the boots on the ground...

I moved to keeping it closer to home(Texas) and its a bit nicer for me.

As I have found success and as a property manager because my investors will buy property and not be able to manage them I can tell you that quality property Manager is a difference between success and expense.

Hello everyone!

I am originally from New York but am now located in Texas trying to do deals from afar. I wanted to see if there was anyone on here who has properties in Western New York? What are some challenges you face that you think might be different than in other states?

Sometimes I don't know where to buy. I heard bad things about east Buffalo.

Anybody has any recommendations on Niagara Falls?

where to buy? Where to rehab& flip?

Thank you!

Both East Buffalo and Niagara Falls are getting more expensive but they are still very affordable for the area. The key is finding an agent with good relationships with other agents so he has an idea of what they're working on and what will be hitting the market before it hits the market.

Satwant, Sam and Kevin, I am working on group. It is small right now so getting schedules to match is a problem. But reach out to me so I can start trying to find a way to do a meeting, even if by zoom.

Did you ever form a group? My husband and I are also investors in the Buffalo area and are currently looking for a group to network with.

Not yet. I have interested parties, but the group is small making scheduling a problem. It is still a work in progress but direct message and let's talk a bit.

I specialize in Buffalo and Western New York. If we can put together a group of 5 or so, I can see about running it.

@Lawrence Blaber I would be interested. Did you start the meetup yet?

Not yet. I have interested parties, but the group is small making scheduling a problem. It is still a work in progress but direct message and lets talk abit.

This isn't run of the mill lawyer stuff. You're going to need somebody who specializes in trusts so you're going to need an equity trust company. Start by researching and finding one in the area they'll be able to answer all your questions
