Hi, friends.

I am currently working on my prelicensure coursework in the Northern Atlanta area, and have began my research on local brokers. Do any of you in the area have a recommendation for a brokerage that will work with part time agents? 

I have a full time marketing job in the veterinary pharma industry that I would prefer to keep while I get my feet wet in real estate.

@Jeff Kehl when you mentioned being sent properties in bad neighborhoods, I wrongly assumed that to mean bad neighborhoods in Nort Georgia, in general. My apologies.  

@Jeff Kehl I recently moved to the Duluth area for work, so I am not familiar with the North Georgia area. What neighborhoods do you consider to be bad?

I am a recent transplant to the Atlanta area and also a newbie to the real estate space. I work in animal pharma sales currently, but I’m not sure which direction I want to go career-wise. 

I am hoping to gain some real world insight into real estate investing, in addition to studying books/forums/podcasts etc., to see if this is an area I might enjoy. 

In sales, there’s no better way to do that than with a ride-along! Has anyone here (agent, investor, contractor) ever had an aspiring investor ride along with them to see what a typical day is like?

I would love to hear any thoughts on this.
