Post: Buying My Mom’s House

Hello everyone. I live in New Jersey. I’m living with my mom in the meantime until I find myself my own place. I had an idea, I was thinking to buy my moms house and rehabbing it. She still paying $231,280.77 with a 4.75 interest rate.

This would be my first house as an investor and I don’t know who I should talk to. I already know how much I can afford. Should I get a loan enough to buy the house and fix it up? Do you think this would be a good idea as a newbie in investing.

Hi @Kelly Arthur. I've been doing good. How are you? Right now I've been working on my debt. I decided I want to lower to have no debt when I start investing. I went to a workshop couple days ago in the area. The instructor talked about multifamily homes that was awesome. Thank you for reaching out to me.

Thank you @Kelly Arthur. I'm searching now for homes. I hope to pay off one loan next year then work on the other. That helps. I kept thinking having the loans would hold me back.

Hello everyone my name is Latasha. I am new to Real Estate. I want to get started. I have a 5 year old. I want to be an Real Estate Investor. I live in South Jersey. I don't have a house. I want to buy one but I want to start investing first. By watching podcasts and reading some of the blogs I learned about House Hacking. I wouldn't mind doing something like that. What are your thoughts with house hacking in South Jersey? What's your experiences? I feel what's stopping me is that I have 2 loans I want to get rid of. Does anybody have any ideas and tips?

Thank you
