My brother and I are in the process of inheriting 2 duplexes and 1 SFH in Florida. Due to leins on the properties a family member is negotiating with the banks to purchase them with cash. He is only helping us and has no interest in keeping them or financing them. I currently have 5 SFH and 1 condo. All B-class properties and one of the homes is paid off. What is the best way to go about financing these properties? Does a commercial loan make sense? Do I create 3 LLCs? Please advise

@George Mevawala

Hi George,

I was poking around on BP and came across your post from last year. I'm an SFH investor in the Chicago suburbs and have interest in investigating STR in the Scottsdale area. I'll be in Scottsdale next week and I'm pretty familiar with the area. Can you share some areas I can look around for future purchases? Just laying some groundwork to get my feet wet.

Good Luck Ashley,

I'm up in the northern suburbs. Great things to be learned on BP. I highly recommend the podcast.

I just joined the LCPIA in Lake County. I'm not sure where you are located but this is northwest of Chicago. Meetings are the 2nd Tuesday of the month. It's been great so far.

Hello Investors,

My name is Lance and I have ben a part time investor since 2009. I started flipping houses but I am now in a buy and hold position. I enjoy doing a lot of the work myself and want to take my investing to another level. I came across BP by accident and am thrilled to see how much information is available. This is exactly what I need and am looking forward to being part of the BP community.
