Thanks for reaching out Alan. The property was in Northwest, TV Hill area. We purchased at auction. I hear you on my situation. We need to redo our operating agreement once I'm stateside again (whenever the COVID situation subsides) as we look to scale, but I'm comfortable at the moment. I have another partner in the Atlanta area as well and need to do the same there.  Look forward to learning from your expertise and checking out any resources you may be able to point me toward. 

 Thanks Stephen. We're in a holding pattern for the moment and plotting on our next deal in the Baltimore area given what you describe.  We want to make money of course, but are passionate about our city and want help it reach its potential after too much of a downtime. 

Hello all, I'm Lamar - a new investor looking to soak up knowledge and learn the real estate game from the good people of BiggerPockets.  Originally from Baltimore, MD, but living in Dubai, UAE at the moment.  

Aside from a rental property I own, I recently closed on my first deal - a fix and flip working with a partner stateside. I provided the initial cash and we worked with a hard money lender for the remainder, while he managed the renovations. 

I'm looking to step my investment game up both with my partnership and personally as I enjoy tax free living abroad. I've been doing some homework watching Brandon's videos and listening to the podcasts, as well as taking notes from other outlets. Have been watching the US market closely in these turbulent times as we look toward our next deal and refine processes.

My position is a bit unique in investing remotely, but I'm up to the challenge. Glad to be here and look forward to connecting and learning from all of you.
