Hello BP community! I am very excited to find this great resource. I just went to a meetup in the bay area (SF) and they recommended this site. Such a great find. I can’t wait to spend some quality time on this site.

I wanted to give a little background on myself but will keep it brief. I have been reading about real estate since college. My brother was a big real estate investor (owned many apartment complexes) but lost most of it in the crash. I purchased a fixer in Marin California (off craigslist) and loved the remodeling process. Unfortunately my marriage didn’t and after 2 years we got a divorce. I am ready to get back into real estate and looking to flip some properties in Oakland to build up my capital. I do have some cash from my previous home but not enough reserves.

I am looking to learn!!! In fact I love to learn and really love to read about real estate so figure this site will be great. I am also looking for real estate partners if the opportunity arises. I work full time in finance and plan to do this on the side for the next 2-3 years. I live in San Francisco and have also been looking to get a new job in the real estate market somehow…still trying to figure out how to make that transition.
