Hi BP Community,

I’m in search of recommendations for an attorney that can handle an eviction in the Chicago Western Suburbs - specifically Aurora, IL. Please let me know if you’ve worked with someone great!

Thanks in advance!

Kyle

@Jacob Dawson if you're willing to live as far out as Aurora, my wife and I are looking to exit a triplex that we are currently house hacking, as we decided we would like to move up closer to my wife's family in Wisconsin. The triplex in question won't pass an FHA inspection I'm told, so you would have to look at conventional owner-occupied financing at 5% down. However it made us a decent return over the past year at that down payment. PM me if you want to discuss further.

Thanks @Dean Wells! That's very cool you were able to find a deal on the MLS. Again best of luck with the process!

Hi @Dean Wells good luck on your first BRRR! Can I ask how you found your deal?

Thanks @Mitch Ferraro! That was all very helpful. I appreciate the time you took to write up such a detailed response. I’ll reach out soon to your email and we can connect whether via Zoom or in person.

Good to know @Brock Mogensen! Thanks again! What is the best way to get in contact with you? I sent you a connection invitation here on Bigger Pockets. Should I just DM you, or would you prefer if I reach out to an email address?

Hi @Mitch Ferraro and @Brock Mogensen thank you both for getting back to me so quickly! One of the things that I saw in the forums about Kenosha / Racine is that the rental rates are lower than here in Illinois, which does seem to be the case. However, it also seems like the rates are high enough that both of you have pulled off BRRRs. So I guess that question is answered for me.

Also, one of the approaches I eventually plan to take to finding deals is through direct mail marketing with a Carrot website that has SEO built in. I want to make sure, however, before I invest in a direct mail campaign, that it make sense for the area. How have you both found your deals?

If you both are willing and able, at some point I'd love to connect further over coffee or lunch (I'm happy to buy to help make it worth your while) when it makes sense to do so. My wife's family is in Kenosha so we make the trip every other week or so when things are normal.

Hi Bigger Pockets community,

I’m an investor from the Chicago area, and my wife and I are looking at a move to Kenosha, WI possibly later this year. I’m interested in networking with people who have experience BRRRRing single family homes in Kenosha and / or Racine, WI.

Thanks in advance,

Kyle
