I am interested in getting into the business of flipping houses. I am currently working with one contractor who has done a few flips in the past, but I am thinking about venturing out on my own. Any recommendations on when to start. Also, if any of you have a story of success or failure, with what you learned that would be great. Thank you

I'm a licensed Agent working in Chicago. I know it is not Dupage, but there are many multi unit buildings available here. As for why the low inventory in the Dupage area. I would assume it could be do to the fact of a lack of need. With rent prices continuously going up the last few years, more people are open to buying a home. Especially in the more residential areas such as Dupage.

I'm not familiar with the market in Virginia. However, here in Chicago with a license and 10k, that would make for a great start to rehab and sell a single family home. There are many neighborhoods which have a ton of inventory from 5k-30k, some even requiring a moderate rehab. With many recent comps showing the same homes selling for 80-130K after rehab. As a beginner I would recommend teaming up with an experienced flipper and learning the ropes, before going all in. With a 203K loan you'll have more than enough money to cover everything.

Hello everyone! I had made an account a couple of months ago, but have been busy building my business, and I am now excited to get back into the community. I never made my into announcement so I am doing it now. Basically, I am a Licensed Real Estate Agent in Chicago with my office located in the West Loop. I am looking for investors (beginner or veteran) to team up with and make some money. I am open to aiding a more experienced investor to learn some new things. Or working together with a beginner to increase our experience. Please message me if you have any interest, thank you!
