Hey BiggerPockets community,

I am looking for recommendations on great first home-buyer programs? specifically one that offer great one-on-one counseling, classes, and grants that contribute to closing cost/down payment! Look forward to hearing back from the community.

Hey @Steve Babiak, thank you for the welcome! In addition, thank you for the suggestion. I would definitely take your suggestion serious and look into it. Glad you responded with that information.

Hey, thank you for the welcome @John Knisely. I glad to have finally made it to the discussion forums. I was born and raised in Philadelphia. so, I am pleased to hear there are a lot of great people here with experience in Philadelphia. In addition, I love the fact there are other great individuals on the forums from out of state. You never know where life will take you next, but to answer your question. I am interested in the BRRRR strategy currently, but hoping to transition into buy and hold/flip in the near future.

I am familiar with most parts of the city, but my target area is the west/southwest region of Philadelphia. I've noticed a lot of good changes since moving out that neighborhood as a kid. I am looking to invest in the month of March for sure. I agree the city is very diverse, so I am looking to expand to other parts under the right guidance or when the time is best. I will definitely look into those networking groups. Networking is a vital aspect to the process of Real Estate success.

Again, thank you for reaching out. I look forward to speaking with you soon. It's always good to have someone around you can learn from.

Hey, I am new to Real Estate, but it always been my passion and dream career. I am currently looking to invest in the Philadelphia market in February 2018. At the moment I work full time for the city. I continuously educated myself on Real Estate, and I am putting pieces together to execute my strategy into Real Estate. Any information is greatly appreciated.
