Thank you for limiting your cancellations and taking care of travelers.
Sounds like they are more interested in pampering the new generation of people that need their “demands” met!

I assure you this isn't about an uneducated investor dropping $200,000 on a house that's like worth about $130k. There's something else going on here.

This house would only be worth $130,000 after a $100,000 rehab in my part of the world🤪

Quote from @Dewayne Perry:

The cleaners and handyman have their own door code as well and I make sure their door code is invalid between the hours of 10pm-5am, just as a sanity check sense there's no reason for them to access the property at that time.

 The cleaners and handyman shouldn’t have any access at all during a guests stay unless it’s an emergency and the guest knows about it.

@Kristi K. - not to me.

Got it, thx, this was the kind of feedback I was looking for. Almost zero positive feedback actually so that really answers my original question.

 Has anybody had a situation like this before or able to provide more color on best approach / details?

You need to contact Ownwell, just google it. They will protest your taxes for you and you don’t pay them anything unless they get you a reduction. In that case they will take 25% of the reduction they saved you. It will definitely not go back down to your first year rate but you might save some money.

Quote from @Pat L.:

went through a friends rental to quote on a job. The paining done by the tenant was atrocious, cabinets had paint on the sides, baseboards, door & window trim were smeared in paint by these complete idiots. 'BUT they pay on-time' he says :)

That’s horrible! I can’t stop laughing “BUT they pay on time”.

I wish there was a “hide Ohio” filter on BP. The spam is nonsense.

It’s like blood in the water creating a feeding frenzy when someone says they have a few hundred thousand to spend.

I just had a tenant ask me this last Friday. I said sure, but he is a painter by trade. I wouldn't let any other tenant do it though unless they hired the guy that paints all of my houses to do it.
