Yes yes, @Barry B. =) This is our 2nd Meet up. Thank you for clarifying for others. That's too bad that you will be out of town! Next time, though.

Hi all,

We will be having our next Sunday REI meet-up on Sunday, June 25th 4 - 7 PM at Arthur Mac's Tap & Snack in Oakland, conveniently located by the MacArthur BART. This is a casual meet-up, but we will bring a few on-market MFRs to evaluate.

@Scott Graham fun Q and fun to see various paths to REI.

B.A. (small liberal arts school) in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology + pre-medical curriculum. Wish I'd studied economics/business. @Kuba F. school of hard knocks (and good running shoes haha) is my current education.

@Kamila Flores I sure will. We are thinking June 25th since June 18th is Father's Day. I will make a post later today. Look forward to meeting you!

@Alex Capozzolo yes, we will, and we will keep you posted of course. We are hoping to have a consistent "every third (still TBD) Sunday" meetup.

Hope to see you next time!

Owner-occupied it is. Thanks, @Chris Mason! I'll have her reach to you if that's cool.

I'm assuming conventional Fannie Mae Homestyle Loans are just as nightmar-ish? I have a friend who currently has FHA on West Oakland property (it's been 1.5 years with loan), and she wants to refi out (to get rid of mortgage insurance) and make improvements to her 1895 home. It's not deemed historical, is actually duplex on record, and is MX - 2 zoning. House is used as SFR 3/1, and I wonder if she could add a unit (or 2? will have to look into zoning) with Fannie Mae Homestyle?

Any input appreciated.
