@Jordan Valeriote my wife and I have been investing in real estate over the last 5 years and recently both got our real estate licenses. If you want to grab a coffee sometime and chat I would be happy to meet up with you.

We have focused mostly in Hamilton with our investing, but Kitchener is offering some great promise. Guelph can be good to if you are patient and can stomach the prices :)

Welcome Connor. I'm also from Guelph and have invested both in Guelph and Hamilton. I am also a licensed Real Estate Salesperson. If you ever want to sit down and chat just let me know.  You are in an amazing position to start out, especially if you don't mind moving around a lot in order to acquire more property using only 5% down.

I would assume your mean private money? I would talk to some mortgage brokers they often have a group of people they would use.

First to those laughing at the idea or $5k/month from $100k he said he wants to get there in a couple years, and instead of considering it impossible his is figuring out how to do it. I say well done for trying, it is the only way to accomplish great things. I work in the High tech field that is growing so fast in KW. It is definitely a great spot to invest. I also have my real estate license and own a few rentals, mostly in Hamilton. Feel free to reach out to me if you want to chat.

Hey guys on the rate front, the BoC just said they would consider negative rates. Things are not great with the economy, and I suspect we will see a very flat interest rate environment for a while.
