Looking at the Longview market lately, and was interested in buying some multi-family properties as rentals.

New to this market, and I was hoping I could get some advice from local investors on what local banks are most investor-friendly. My wife grew up in the area and knows several agents, so I'm getting ready to start putting in some offers.

Appreciate the help in advance, thanks!!

Hey BP'ers, just getting around to introducing myself on  the site.

I'm Korbin Gilbreath, an electrical engineer here in Central, Texas, looking to gain financial freedom using REI. Been pretty diligent the last year, just absorbing all I can about REI and studying the local market here in Waco. The past few months I have been focusing on college rentals near Baylor with mixed results. Almost pulled the trigger on a few, but haven't found a good enough deal to fully commit to.

Looking to continue to hone in on a niche here in the local markets, and ready to jump into REI and starting the path to financial freedom for me and my family.

My current goals are to start with smaller rental properties that are in good neighborhoods and generate good cash flow. Then as I gain more experience and smaller rentals, then begin to look at larger multi-family properties, continuing to build off the foundation and systems that I already have in place.

I know that this will not be an overnight thing, but am committed to the long haul and appreciate all the help and encouragement along the way from you guys.

For more details and personal goals, check out my profile!

Thanks and Gig Em',

KG

Yea, sounds like we're using the same tools. We'll keep me updated, I'd like to hear how the searching ends up, since we're interested in the same market.

Hey Cody,

I have also been looking in the waco area for some multi-family units and have not many promising leads...

As a new investor, I'm just curious what you are using to find potential deals in the area?
