Steve, Had there been a prior shared well or any well on either property that you have information on? My recommendation is to for sure have a stamped well plan and all permitting application ready to present to the board if they deny it your best bet is to contact the Massachusetts DEP and have them review it and sort it out with the town. Granby is notorious for 'if it doesn't say you CAN do it, you can't' I am in the civil engineering field and would be happy to answer any questions or help you with anything.

Has a registered Engineer developed a stamped plan for you showing the shared well and applicable calculations to show that it will sufficiently supply both houses?

Hello everyone,

I am just getting started after years of being a "wantrepeneur." My current situation is this, I purchased my own house a couple years back that is my girlfriend and I primary residence. We have a condo that is being rented out and paying for itself (and gaining about 100 bucks a month that goes into an account that we don't touch.) Like everyone else here I have the dream to become financially free and work because I want to, not because I have to. We are looking to get into rentals and I feel that being a buy and hold type of investor would suit me the best.

My question for those more experienced than myself is, should we hold onto this property and see if that property appreciates? Or, should we sell that property and take what money we would make off of that and pay off our debt and reinvest what is left into another property closer to home? The current rental is about 2 hours from our house. Money is tight right now so we do not have 20% for a downpayment on something new.

Any advice/input is greatly appreciated!

Thank you all for the responses!

Melissa, I just joined the group on FB and I will try to get down there tonight for that meeting. My work schedule is sometimes pretty daunting. However, if you are available to meet in the evenings during the week it would be a pleasure to sit down and chat. I would greatly appreciate the time with someone that has your experience and that is local.

Greetings everyone,

I am a new member to the forums that was directed here from the Podcast. A little bit about my background...

I am 32 from Western Mass and own my own home and have a rental unit condo. I have been doing a lot of reading and webinars and felt like I needed to introduce myself. Currently I am looking over several multi-family units in the area and hope to hear and share my experiences with other members on the forum. If there is anyone in the area I would love to chat a bit about your experience in this market and chat about real estate in general. My current career is as a civil engineer and hope to branch out into the real estate world! I have enjoyed reading through peoples stories here and look forward to reading future success stories and have one to share one day.
