I would say, jv with someone in the area.

@Quinton Slay, yes it is unfortunate that many people are programmed that way. I think that some people just have a different ideas about how to get there. Some people are used to being told to go to school, and get a good job to pay for debts, instead if letting assets do that for them.

I wish that I had some pointers to give to you, but I'm a newbie myself trying to learn as much as I can...

Wow! I wanted to offer some advice on this as well, but I'm sad to hear that things ended. Sometimes its just hard to change people. This time around, just try to find someone who is willing to take that journey with you, or at least support you in it.

Good Luck!

@Ayana Miller in the beginning, the offers you were putting in, were those wholesaling offers or buy and holds? What type of issues did you encounter in regards to those deals?

Hello All,

@Ayana Miller I plan to purchase a duplex next year, if I can get a loan from the bank. How long ago did you start with your buy and holds?

@Derrick E. That is awesome! If possible, I would love to chat with you, and find out more about how you were able to do that in such a short amount of time.

@Jeremy Trad I noticed that they actually have one coming up this month that I may consider taking if I can. I appreciate you taking  the time to comment, and would like to learn a bit more about what you do.

@Ham Merritt I've noticed, the amount of information on here is incredible! I'll make sure to list you down as a lender for possible future investments.

@Rebecca Knox I definitely would like to connect with people in my area who are actually doing what I would like to do. I'm still considering attending the REIA Christmas party myself. How did you get started in wholesaling? If possible, I would like to speak with you more about it sometime soon, as I'm looking to learn that myself.

Hello @Bryan Pham,

I plan to obtain some buy and hold properties, in addition to wholesaling if possible. After I learn those, eventually I would not mind moving into commercial properties and rehabbing. Just trying to figure out what would be the best approach to start out with...

@Dave Visaya

@Dave Visaya,

Thank you for the warm welcome. I look forward to learning from you all!!!

Hello All,

My name is Krystle and I am a returning member of BP. I've been here previously, but had a few life situations happen that put a hiatus on me beginning my investing journey. I'm hoping to gain as much information as possible and hopefully connect with local investors who are currently making deals. I feel like I have to make a move, or I never will, and looking to purchase my first property next year. I also would like to try my hand at wholesaling.

I look forward to connecting with you all!!!

@Vanessa Ugochukwu

I was wondering, how did you go about finding sellers? Where did you go to look, any websites?

Now this is awesome to read about!!! As a newbie looking to get my first deal done in Milwaukee as well, this really serves as inspiration to me.
