@Chaz S. - What a blessing! It's thoughtful of you to want to do that. I think the gift will depend on what they like. Something personalized is always nice, rather it's a nice pen with their name on it or picture frame, etc. Maybe a spa for her. I'm sure you'll pick a great gift for them both. @Brie Schmidt - Hi, if you can't pay cash for either which would you recommend doing first?

@Bill Gulley - I should consider, sellers who finance as an option? Are those sellers easily found on sites like MLS or is there a difference resource to find them? I will also begin looking for lenders.

@Bill Gulley - I couldn't imagine the shape those buildings would be in if I purchased them at that amount. It sounds like more problems than money. Although I won't rule it out, I guess. I do like the idea of finding older owners who want out of the business. Great advice, thanks.

@Bill Jacobsen - Thank you for giving me a realistic idea of what I'd need to save to achieve those goals. Saving $1,000.00 a month after purchasing the first investment is doable which will allow me to purchase the other three. So I'm looking at an average of 1 per year & saving every dime I earn.

It also sounds like I need to look into investors to increase my investing power.

@Michaela G. -- Thanks, I read something similar to it. It all sounds interesting and confusing at the same time. I guess like all new things. I'll do more reading on it to see if I can walk away with a better understanding.
