I bought an over the counter tax property in Tennessee. It's my very first property ever. I live in California. I made the offer in April I sent my closing costs and the county informed me at the end of June that it had closed and the deed would be sent to me within 8 weeks. It's only been about 6 weeks but I'm anxious to sell it. So I'm wondering do I need to wait?

I called a title company in Tennessee. They told me that they can't pull the title to see if its in my name until I have a buyer. They gave me  a website to check  and see if the county had recorded the deed. They have not.  I'm thinking they are so slow they probably haven't updated the website.
