@Eddie LeGrand-Sawyer

I'm interested in connected. I'm new to real estate investing, but am looking out of state as SoCal is extremely expensive.

 Truthfully - because we already have a trip planned to the area in late September. I know - it's not the right way to select a place to invest, but we are beginners. :D

@Shel K. Congrats on the first home. Ducts and hvac are pricey. The inspector for our primary home didnt say anything about the ducts (he just looked throigh the attic opening with a flashlight). We had an hvac person come out foe a service and diacovered the ducts leaked and had asbestos. I recommend paying for a proper hvac inspection. The ducts cost us several thousand dollars.

My husband and I will be in the Rapid City area toward the end of September and are looking for realtor/broker recommendations. Any recommendations are appreciated.

We are newbies to real estate investing and are looking for good out of state locations to invest. Advice is also appreciated. Thanks!

@Joseph Puthusseril Check craigslist for smaller areas. I've seen people post after they are done remodelling to get rid of the overage from flooring projecst. Habitat for Humanities ReStores sometimes has inventory, but they are hit or miss.
Hi. My husband and I have just started researching investing in multifamily properties. We cannot afford to invest in our area (Southern California) so we are planning to look OOS. Since we already have a trip planned to Rapid City, SD, we started looking at potentially investing there. Prices seem reasonable, but since we dont know much about the area, we'd like to talk to a realtor/broker or two while we are there and build relationships. Does anyone have recommendations? TIA!
