@Josef Torkelsen Since I am new I haven't quite decided which region we will be focusing on.  We were intending on focusing on the local market, but IMHO it seems quite frothy and certainly difficult to find positive cash flow (granted, that could just be my lack of experience in finding deals).  We would definitely be receptive to out-of-state so long as the situation merits.  I would love to chat about it!  Perhaps we will see you at one of the meet-ups!

Hello BP!

I am new to the website and relatively new to the notion of REI. I currently own a condo with my wife and we are looking to expand and build a respectable portfolio of long-term, cash flowing, small multi-families. I currently work as a Network Administrator (IT) for a large real estate developer and I'm looking to grow my passive income stream. I've already bought many of the books found in The 21 Best Real Estate Books post.  Right now I'm reading The Book on Rental Property Investing by Brandon Turner which has been incredible so far!  I look forward to interacting with many of you!  I intend on becoming an active member in the community and will do whatever I can to build positive, and synergistic relationships!
