Thanks everyone for the great feedback and I actually just bought Set for Life and I’ve been listening to a lot of podcasts on BP . I will definitely be attending CAREIA. Thanks again!

@Brad Mirkovich Thanks Brad! This was helpful I’ll be sure to check that out. However when I decided to start looking for properties I will be looking for single family and multi family properties for RE investments in the Rockford, Elgin, and possibly by Bloomington- Normal area if I get into a multi family I will most probably owner occupy.

Im 23 and live in the north west suburbs of Chicago I’m looking to do some networking and learning from more experienced RE investors. I’m a complete rookie but have read a few of the BiggerPockets books by Brandon Turner and I am absolutely in love with the idea of buy and hold investment properties. I am really hungry for knowledge so I can be prepared for when I begin to take my first steps in this journey. So if you guys have any recommendations on RE clubs or anything of that nature I’d love to get out and meet new people who can put me in the right direction. Thanks!
