I regularly listen to the BP Podcast with David and Rob and for months an Ad has been running about 2.9% Financing from Rent to Retirement. It sounded too good to be true, but I thought I should check it out. I expected that they would tell me it was a short term thing, and the rate would go up after a year or two. When I had my meeting with Matthew Seyoum from RTR, I mentioned why I contacted them. He asked me where I heard the Ad and then said "Oh that was a limited time program where a builder was offering that incentive." He further informed me that the program was over a while ago and the rates are more in line with prevailing rates. That was over a month ago, but I heard the Ad again today on the BP Podcast. BP, please pull the Ad, it is hurting your credibility, especially you Rob, since it is you narrating it.

Since Brandon and Josh live on Maui, first of all hoping you are safe. Secondly, are you guys leading any fund raising efforts?

Wow, and at just 21, that is knowing what your "Big Y" is and going after it. I wish you more success.

I am having the same issue with a return I am working on for a client. This rule makes absolutely no sense. How do you pay tax on income you have not received. What happened to the "Where withal to pay concept" and the "Constructive Receipt" concepts?

Congrats Adrian. I have a house about a mile from where yours is and it rents for $1550. It is 1600 sq.ft. So that should give you something to compare to.

Regarding a property manager recommendation, I highly recommend the guy I use, Mark Brezette. Search for Brezette Properties on the internet.

Good luck.....Kevin

I use Mark Brezette of Brezette Properties in Allen. He also manages properties and is an investor himself.

Welcome to both of you. There is a meet up on Tuesday 7/26 at the Fox & Hound in Richardson starting at 6p.

It will be a good opportunity to meet like minded folks.

I used Precision Windows in McKinney, TX for my personal residence and was happy with them.
