Thanks Bobby! It would be great to connect with you, especially since it sounds like you've been in the area for a while now. Invite coming!

Ciprian, we are currently paying $700/month for a 2 bedroom apartment. I would say the 2 and 3 bedroom apartments are lower than average. I can likely raise the rent $50 to $100 without scaring people away. Our plan is to live in the single bedroom until the 2 bedroom apartment becomes available. I think we can get over $500 for the single apartment once we move out of it.

Hey Everyone!

So after listening to the Bigger Pockets podcasts for the last few months I decided it was finally time to jump in. So I'm living in Ridgecrest, CA With my wife and 3 month old son. I work as an engineer, and we've been renting for the last few months, but we decided we don't want to rent anymore. We are thinking about house hacking, but since I'm new to this I thought I'd try running it by more experienced people.

The place we are most interested in is a triplex with a 3, 2, and 1 bedroom apartment. It's in a good neighborhood and it has tenants in the 2 and 3 bedroom apartments which rent for 750 and 850 respectively. They're asking 225k for it. Does this sound like a reasonable house hack?
