Hi BP. I am moving to Pittsburgh PA and I'm looking for a RE Agent with Investor experience. I would like to buy an investment property to live in and put in sweat equity to flip. I'm thinking this may be cheaper than renting. Any info from anyone who has experience on how they relocated to a new area to start investing or how you would do it if you were to relocate would be a Huge help. Thanks!

I wouldn't do it. I'm a noob and may be wrong but with the 50% rule it would only leave you with $600 so you would be out of pocket for $350/month.

Jeremy Timko I would love to get to know the areas to invest in pittsburg. I have a friend that lives in the Bethel park area. I've only been there twice but only really know the areas from looking at zillow.

Thanks everyone for the welcome! And thanks for the PA info. I am heading to Pittsburgh in a week. I am planning on touring the area and would like to go see a few places I've been looking at on Zillow/Trulia/Loop net. I may even be relocating there. Looking forward to talking and doing business with BP folks in the near future!

Hi BP nation. I just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Keoni. I'm originally from Maui Hawaii and just moved to SoCal about three years ago. I was a Paramedic for 20 years and am now a Locksmith. I've been looking thru BP for about a month or so wanting to get into the real estate investing career rather than the 9-5 job. There's an Incredible amount of information, I can't get enough! I have listened to almost all the podcasts, read the Ultimate Beginners guide to REI and just purchased the BP books on flipping houses. Looking to make some new friends and start investing! Aloha!
