@Adam Serdula

Hi Adam, I am 22. At 17, I hadn’t started my real estate journey yet so heres the same advice I would have passed over to myself a few years ago.

1. Knowledge is the most important thing. Dont rush it or do anything until you are confident you know what to do and how to do it. Investing can be profitable but also risky if you go in blindly.

Read books, youtube, google, real estate meet ups, find an experienced investor to mentor you and ask many questions. Dont be afraid to ask questions.

2. Almost the same as #1, find your niche. Theres many ways to be profitable in real estate. Flip, buy and hold, wholesale, lending, note investing, etc. Explore alot of books, articles, events to find which niche fits your style, financial situation and works for you best.

3. To get a traditional bank loan for a property, typically they are mainly going to look at your income history (last 2 years W2), credit score and cash assets in the bank. Work on those.

I’d keep it simple. The more you go along the more you learn and will figure out what you need to do to reach certain goals. At 17, is a good age to be interested and soak in as much information, but don’t rush until you are ready. When you start eventually you’re going to make mistakes anyways like everyone does. That’s how you learn. But learn from other peoples mistakes as much as you can

Hey I am trying to analyze my first deal, really excited! However I understand the basics of how to but am not 100% confident in running the numbers. Can an experienced member help look at this with me? Thanks
