Hey guys, I'm a freshman in university in Hamilton Ontario and I was looking at a serious possibility of investing in real estate (most likely buy and hold) in the area so I can get a cash flow while studying. I am brand new to real estate so I'm planning to learn before investing of course, but the problem is that single family homes around the university are upwards of $375 000. A house around the area would be great for student rentals, but I obviously don't have the capital. Houses around Hamilton don't go anywhere below $240 000 for a lower quality house. Is this a feasible option for a student like me?

Hey guys, I know most of you are pretty much American citizens investing in the US, but are there any Canadian citizens on here? I live in the Hamilton/Niagara falls area and am looking for a real estate club to get into in the region/Ontario in general. I'm pretty young (18) and know nothing about real estate so I want to join one of these clubs just to try and soak in some info and network as well. Thanks!

Hi guys! My name is Kenneth and I'm 18 years old and an engineering freshman in university. Lately I've been looking for ways to build wealth in the future mainly for the short term. Just recently was I introduced to real estate investing through youtube. I found that it is quite possible to build long term wealth and live off the income generated from rental properties. I am also the type of guy who doesn't want to work for a boss which is why it is quite possible that I may start my own company in the future although I am trying to see whether it is a viable option and if I am able to gain the necessary knowledge and think of an idea good enough to launch a successful business. I would however take a full-time job in order to make money for investing in real estate. It's something where I am responsible for my own actions so I call the shots. I'm really new to real estate and don't really know much at all (a true newbie). So my main question is: where should I start in my education (other than bigger pockets)? There's so much to learn!
