Are there specific ways of finding section 8 renters that have qualified and are now looking for a place to live?

Or do you just advertise and make a note in the rental advertise ment section 8 for rent accepted ?

Hi,

I am new to Dallas Texas.

Anyone familiar with the Zip 75210?

It's the lower part of town. some empty homes and duplexes but they are cheap and people are living there.

I'm new at this and was thinking of possibly purchasing a property in that area.

The price ranges are $15,000 to 50,000.

Curious if any investors are familiar with the area what do you think about investing there?

I don't see prices going any lower. and the fixers are typically 50% or more under the market value I see on Zillow.

Any thoughts from anyone ?

I am looking to purchase my first investment property.

I want to buy a property that needs moderate amount of work. After improvements are completed I would like to re-sale (flip). But If i can't get the right price I would hold & rent.

My question ... Would it be better to purchase multi family property or  (1 - 4 units) .... single family property or does it matter ?

Any opinions / Any experiences ?

Thanks

Ken

what's the difference between buying 1-4 units and buying over 4 units

I checked out this site. I liked it and it seemed very informative, so I signed up for the Pro Level. Today is the second time I could not get on a Webinar.

Like I said I like the site but I was very interested in the webinars'. Today is the second time I have been locked out.

1st time I was early and could not get in.......Just said processing please wait or something like that , today I was on time and could not get in "expired".

If it happens again I will have no choice but to cancel my membership and move on.

I don't know what the deals is. Maybe it's just me, but it's very disappointing.
