@Michael Haas thanks for the input. I’ve heard a lot of great news about how Tacoma is appreciating. I’m open to the surrounding areas as well. And for sure, I’m always down to begin networking with like minded folks!

@Robert Freeborn thanks for the welcome. I’m excited for the new opportunities to come!

Moving from Hawaii to Washington state this summer. I’ve analyzed deals for multi family homes in Tacoma which is the area I’ll be close by. I’m 24, looking to start investing as a part time gig. I’m going to be living on base for now but until then I’ll keep my eyes open on what’s available. Anyone who’s out in the area, I would love to get something going maybe mentoring or simply chat. Thank you!

@Dimitri Paspalaris we thought about living off base but we couldn’t find anywhere that was reasonable with rent pricing and proximity from Schofield. We didn’t want to commute far especially since traffic is terrible here so we decided it’s more convenient to stay on base and have everything covered. Also we have a 12 months left here so we are pretty much locked in with the lease until we leave. Our next location we’ll definitely look to save BAH if everything works for us.

@Tyler Drapeau thanks for the reply. I’m new to the forum and a beginner with real estate. I’m doing a lot of educating right now. I’ve been considering attacking the credit card with the smallest amount and then do so for the next one. It’s honestly just a matter of discipline for me. I’ll definitely give it a listen though.

I’m recently married and I’m living in military housing. My wife is in the Army so we do not have to pay for housing expenses. I do security work and make about 31k a year. With getting a new house we did have to buy furniture which I maxed out my credit card paying 5k for it. With maxing out my credit has tanked. Also, I have a couple other credit cards. So, in total I’m about 7k in debt. I’m trying to get out of debt within the next 6 months. Anyone have any tips or advice on side hustles or tips on repairing credit so I can save for investing?
