I am on escrow on my first multi-family purchase. Does anyone have a good inspector they can recommend? The house is older and I want to make sure there are as few surprises in the future as possible. The property is in Loma Linda.

The rental property calculator on this site for "Pro" members is really good at accounting for all of the costs. It's easy to use as well. I would recommend calculating a number of properties just to compare what is available in your area and make your decision from there. If you really want to get started even if it means taking a chance on the repair and maintenance costs, go for it. I would evaluate as many properties as you can though just to be safe.

I am new to real estate investing. I have a background in construction management but I am currently working in healthcare. I am interested in investing in multi-family rentals or single family flips.
