@Brent Coombs I should have specified, I am looking for information about what all is required to invest in the states, while living in Canada, as a Canadian citizen (no prior affiliation to the US), which isn't actually covered here, I did actually look first. I understand investing within my own country, I want to find out how to do it in a different one

Hello internet,

I've started looking in to start investing in the States (I am a Canadian citizen), however I'm struggling to find good information. Do any of you have experience you'd like to share on the matter? Is there a goldmine of information I've missed somewhere?

Thanks all,

Kelsey Unger

Hey Guys,

How did you all pay for your first property? What kind of creative options have you used and what are the pros and cons in your situation?

I'm yet to purchase my first property, however I'm going to make my first purchase by the beginning of 2018. In my current situation, coming up with a downpayment by myself isn't possible, and I want to know what kind of options exist, and what everybody's experiences are. The Book on Investing with No (and Low) Money Down is next on my reading list, so please don't just reiterate, however if you strongly feel that one form of getting money is better or worse than another, I will be more than happy to ready why.

Cheers,

Kelsey

Hey Everyone,

My name is Kelsey Unger. I'm brand new to the world of real estate investing, still looking to make my first purchase. My main goal right now is to learn the ins and outs of the industry, and purchase my first property before the start of 2018.

On the reading list right now is:

The Ultimate Beginners Guide to Real Estate Investing (Brandon Turner)

The Miracle Morning (Hal Elrod)

The Book on Rental Property Investing (Brandon Turner)

Since these first posts are more meant as an Ice breaker, I'll throw out that my favourite kind of ice cream is vanilla, because it pairs with toppings so well, and tastes good by itself. Do you disagree? Why?

I look forward to meeting all of you and seeing where this leads,

Kelsey
