@Davartay Miller

Thank you for the reply, Davartay. It does come down to the trust. As a landlord, I do want a long term relationship with my PM as long as all the charges are reasonable and fair. Thanks again.

Hello! I need your advise.

I’ve been renting out my house through a property management company for two year. I’ve noticed quite a few unreasonable repair charges. For example like this one:

“one charge was to take the tenant code out of the garage door keypad so they wouldn't be able to access the unit, and the other charge was to re-sync the garage door remotes with the opener because they weren't working.”

I got two charges on the garage code reset on two different days one week apart while my place was vacant. Does it make sense? I’m currently living abroad and can’t manage the property on my own. Do all the property management companies handle the repairs without considering landlords’ expenses? Or shall I look for a new one?

Thank you in advance!

@Scott Ashworth

Thanks Scott! It’s good to know.

@Julie Hartman

Thanks Julie! This is my 2nd time listing. First listing was in 2018. I was just charged $42 for 3 weeks by my property manager for listing it on Zillow.

Hello! Does Zillow charge $2/day for the rental listing? I’m currently living abroad. That’s what my property manager told me. Thank you in advance!

Hello!

I’m a new landlord. My tenant is asking me to install the weather stripping to the door. I live out of the state. My management company will hire a maintenance guy to do it if I approve. My tenant is leaving soon cause it’s the end of the lease and she didn’t renew. Should I go ahead to do it anyway?

My townhouse was built in 2006 and is in good condition.

Thank you in advance for your advice!
