Are YOU in the military, or is it just your fiance? (I don't see where you say you are in the military, maybe I missed that part?)

Is this a single family home?

When you signed the mortgage papers, stating you intended to live in the property as an owner occupant, did you know of the move orders or did they come after your purchase?

The timing of all this will be important - if you received your move orders before you closed on the property that could be an issue.

In all likelihood, you will be fine. But be prepared with documentation in case you are asked.

I am not in the military my Fiance is. we have not gotten the official orders yet. We thought we were being re-stationed here in Colorado but, we heard word that we will be going to Florida... He has not received official orders yet. We won't receive those for maybe another month or so... maybe even 2...

so can I rent it out then or do I just leave it empty? I am assuming I wait to tell my Morgage company until they ask questions vs giving them a jingle?

I purchased a home with the use of the FHA home loan program four months ago. When I purchased the home it was my intention to live there for 4 years as I thought my fiancé would be re stationed in Colorado Springs with the Air Force. We just got orders to move to Florida. Do I need to get married to my fiancé and provide the Morgage company Military orders? Can I write a letter of hardship that living in Colorado while my fiancé is stationed in Florida would be difficult? I want to rent the property out and not sell it as we plan to move back here as soon as we can. What advice do you have? Thank you
