Thanks Israel. I'm from the US, she's Lebanese but we live in Dubai. Is that helpful?

My partner and I currently live overseas exploring other interesting markets for real estate investment, predominantly in Europe. We'd like to learn more about whether this is smart financially from a tax perspective.

Strategy is buy and hold - rent something out and potentially use for vacation (somewhere by the beach ideally).

We're not in a position to manage a flip as we currently live in Dubai.

We are mainly interested in Spain, Greece, or France.

I'd love to connect with anyone who has experience with this.

Thanks!

I love overseas and have 4 investment properties back home in the US. If I want to keep investing, do I have to keep putting 25% down for the loan bc it’s an investment prop as opposed to a primary or secondary mortgage?

Thanks!
