@Jerome Jewell

Awesome man! As soon as I complete my current project, I’ll be back out there lookin.

@Keven Vanegas

I’m finalizing a contract on a piece of property in the Venice section, so I wouldn’t mind linking up with anyone actively investing in AC. Planning on building, so it’ll be a major learning curve with permits etc.

@Diane G.

Things got tight for the family once, so I had to take on a roommate. We all squeezed into a 2/1, 680 sqft. My point is that it can def work. Seems like anything can be considered discriminatory these days, but they would have to see it that way, and put in the work to follow through with the claim. On top of which, if they did, and were successful, how would your LL-tenant relationship be. Just something to think about. All the best!

Does anyone have solid recommendations for South Jersey contractors? Need to start getting estimates for renovations.

@Mike B.

Awesome point. Especially since I’m looking in the general area for all of the properties, so I’ll need the contractor regardless. Thanks Mike.

@Mike Cumbie

I expanded my search area and found a few comparable properties. The only difference, which may be huge, is rural vs suburb. Definitely a lot to learn.

@Jonathan Greene

Thanks for the well wishes. Maybe next time, lead with this instead of the “tough on the new guy” bit. Most people don’t appreciate someone who they don’t know coming at them the way you did. I know this entire thing is a risk, and I know I’m supposed to treat it as a business transaction and not an emotional type investment, but that’s difficult to do. Anyone who saves enough money to invest in real estate, like really saves it, worked hard for it, is emotional about that money. It is what it is. My reaction to you was nothing short of not appreciating the way you responded. I’m sure you are a wealth of knowledge, just read your bio. Be well Mr. Greene.

I actually found an almost exact match for the house, might even be same builder honestly, but the area is a bit more built up. I also don’t want to over value the property I’m looking at.

@Jenni Utz

Thank you! I’m working with an agent, but I’m not sure she deals with investors, which I don’t really consider myself yet.
