This event will be held at the Clarion Hotel and Convention Center, 411 S. Larkin Avenue in Joliet. For convenience, 2 sessions of this program have been scheduled at different times of day. Each session has the same content so please choose the session which best fits your schedule. Housing providers can attend either day of the conference to receive essential information on services and resources.

The first session is scheduled for Thursday, October 12, 2023. Doors will open at 5:30 PM and the program will run from 6 to 9 PM. This session includes a buffet and a cash bar.

The second session is scheduled for Friday, October 13, 2023. Doors open at 8:30 AM and the program will run from 9:00am to 12:00pm. This session includes a buffet.

This time we are hearing from our very own board member Attorney David Smith on the new rules and regs regarding emotional support animals. You don't want to get caught in a discrimination trap but you don't want to roll over and give up your rights either....right? IMPORTANT PLEASE READ! Gabe from Neighborhood Services had to cancel his appearance for this month's event due to an out-of-state funeral. Because we believe that it is important to get our info on the Single Family Rental Inspection Program directly from the top, we will reschedule with him ASAP.

Instead, we will be changing the format of this month's meeting to the round table discussion. This month we will be discussing TENANT TRAINING! Come prepared to learn from others and to speak about your tips and tricks!

- How do you get your tenants to pay using your preferred method? (No more going door to door collecting rent...)

- How do you handle calling vs texting?

- How do you resolve trash problems?
