I have only been doing this for a month and I am kind of lost in the forest as to what direction I should take next. I don't think I will be moving forward with my real estate coach as something just doesn't seem right. I found a couple of motivated sellers and I have a list of investors whom some are my friends and we buy house etc. What do I do?? Also, do you all use those postcards to generate a motivated seller pipeline? I personally found the couple I found just by driving through the neighborhood.

However, I did have "that one" who charged me $500, then didn't follow-thru on his contract. He was responsive until the last day "after" I completed all my "homework" if you will). I checked him out, but didn't ask for references 1st, and his coaching was ok. I got few good pointers from him, that I didn't know...but as I said, when it came down to him "walking me thru a deal" as he promised to do, he then stopped answering his phone. I have checked out everything and everyone since then.

I should have done my research. His name is Peter Vekselman. I hadn't heard anything bad about him but then again I did not do a full research on him. He gives me pointers but I don't think that he contacts me enough.

Yes, I thought this was strange as well and I did not send them because I am already skeptical and I should have done my research. It may be just harmless but I am not sending him my list.

Hi,

I have been doing okay with my real estate coach. However, one of the tasks that he gave me was to write down a list of cash investors that I have rounded up over the course of the weeks and send them to him for quality. I didn't know how to react to that. I thought that I would be just sending him my list. Why would I send someone my investor lists? Do you think that this sounds like a trustworthy thing to do? Some of the people on my list are my friends. I don't particularly believe he needs to see my list to direct me where I should go do you think?

How did you go about finding a reputable coach? I've pondered getting coaching as well. I've done a few deals and read a few books on real estate. However I'm still learning and am progressing I'm wondering if a coach will help me get me proficient faster.  I'd love to hear your experience.

Jeanette. I just went out there and did some research. I needed some direction is the reason why I went ahead and paid him. Some people were stated that they have had awesome results with real estate coaches so I thought I would invest and give it a try.

Is the coach actively doing deals? Doing the type of transactions you are interested in? do you have the ability to do a deal if one is presented to you? Does he have other students? have you vetted him through the others? What do you get for $500? When should you expect to do your first deal?

I paid $10k for my 1st mentor - in the program you had to do a deal - I profited $25k on the deal 6 months after starting  - minus the cost of the mentor it was the most money I ever made at one time. Then I took that knowledge to do a handful of deals and always had the mentor as a resource. So it depends on who you are working with.

Hi Travis

Yes I have heard that it was a cheap price. I do not have any current deals going at the moment however, I plan on having some soon. It's great to hear on your first deal you made so much money back. He does actually have other students and I also looked him up on LinkedIn he appears to be pretty reputable. With the $500 he stated that he will show me the ropes of wholesaling, investing, flipping etc. He has directed me to some useful resources and gives me tasks to do every 4 days or less. I have learned a lot and its only been a few weeks. He stated that I should close something within 2-4 months.

Hello Everyone,

A couple of weeks ago I paid a guy $500.00 to start coaching me in real estate. He seems pretty legit but I am wondering, is the cost of $500.00 per month really worth it? I had did a little research on it and they were stating that real estate coaches were highly effective.

Hello everyone,

My name is Karlyn Brasselmon and I am a brand new Wholesaler. I am a Saint Louis Native and I have been in the mortgage business for 13 years and have a background in originating, closing and processing many different loan programs. During my down time I love to draw and read books, particularly non-fiction.

What I want to obtain from this group is knowledge I need in regards to the real estate side of the business. I would like to learn from the seasoned wholesalers and investors so that I can become better. I am excited about what I will learn from here and wish everyone well with their business:)
