Thank you @Alyssa Dyer and @Paul DeAngelo for the welcome and advice respectively.

Namaste,

Karl

@Kiera Underwood Thank you for the warm welcome.  Yea that's kind of what I was thinking about the state.  It is one of those "boring" states if you will that are steady and turn out to be excellent places to invest.  I'm hoping this ideology reigns true, and I can learn a lot and invest in my future via this vehicle.  I do outpatient services and travel frequently, so I drive past several homes in several areas that are screaming for possible rehabilitation or possible buy and hold opportunities.  My first thought was to utilize my unique circumstance of working, and connect it to a business opportunity :).  Thank you for the advice about the market, I'm still learning several areas and how the market works in terms of investing so I appreciate the heads up and encouragement.  Lastly, Yes ma'am my educational background is kind of diverse, but connected in many ways.  I certainly enjoyed my educational path through grad school.  I wish I could learn all the time in college and make money from it, but unfortunately its quite the inverse relationship mostly lol.  Thanks again for the well wishes and look forward to speaking more with you in the future.

@ Cassi

@Cassi Justiz I certainly will, I'm really excited to hear what's going on in our neck of the woods, and kind of "feel the temperature" of the area if you will.  Thank you for being open to be a point of contact for questions.  Very much appreciated!

Awesome first deal, I learned a lot with your explanations as well as the responses regarding suggestions for your next one.  Fantastic information, and thanks for sharing your story.  Congratulations, and best of wishes on your next endeavor!

@Kurt Michaelson Thanks so much for the local meet up resources, I certainly plan to utilize them and orient myself with the local market, players, and knowledge.  I bid you well wishes and success as well.

Thanks,

Karl

Thanks man, awesome suggestions and I've already picked up a few of the books from the podcasts and have really enjoyed them.  Thanks for the welcome bud, look forward to learn more from you and the others in the threads!

Hello guys, my name is Karl and I am new to the real estate investment world.  A little bit about myself, I am a graduate of the University of Oklahoma with degrees in human behavior, microbiology, and a state licensure as a mental health "shrink" lol (which is my primary profession).  I am looking to expand my education and experience in real estate through flipping, whole selling, and long term buy and hold investing.  I have been reading and studying the business for about six months, find it very fascinatinang, and find myself lurking to always find more.  I joined here to connect and utilize this medium to further my education, seek guidance, and capitalize on potential opportunities.  Nice to meet everyone!

Thanks,

Karl!
