We are getting ready to take a HELOC out on our primary residence. Both the driveway and back patio are concrete pads that are cracked and broken (beyond repair). We have lived with it for years and don't mind. However i am curious if we decided to replace both concrete pads, if it would significantly increase our appraisal value for the HELOC we are looking to get? Sq footage of concrete probably totals around 1k and my husband is able to complete the work himself, so costs would only be for dump and materials. Worth the money and trouble? Or just take the heloc as is?

-What are your top 5 neighborhoods you prefer to buy in and why do you prefer those neighborhoods?

-What are the top 5 neighborhoods you AVOID buying in and why?
