Welcome Matthew, I'm a newbie in the Woodinville area.  Lived in Snohomish for 10 years, so very familiar with the South Snohomish County area.  I am a SAHM but at the point where we can build our portfolio for passive income.  So much to learn, but all so exciting.  Good luck to you!

Hi, I'm Kariann from the Pacific NW, East of Seattle. I found Bigger Pockets through the podcast and have been lurking here in the forums for a couple of weeks. Once upon a time I was a residential real estate agent, but have been a SAHM for the last 14 years. We currently own one SFH that is rented out that we self manage. Now that my kids are older I would like to build upon our investment portfolio. I'm thinking the BRRRR strategy, and potentially moving into multi-family. I only wish I would have found Bigger Pockets sooner, there is so much I could have done the last 10 years. I'm eager and motivated to learn, I could get sucked into the forums for hours! My goal is to get re-licensed as an agent and purchase a deal in the next 12 months.

I’m new here and essentially a newbie to REI. I love this site, without BP and everybody’s input I wouldn’t have the courage or confidence to jump in. I’m very impressed with responses I see to people’s questions, and I appreciate all the knowledge I can find with a keyword search. I don’t think of this site as social media, but I guess it is, but not in the traditional sense where everyone brags about their life or what’s for dinner. :)

@AlanRussell, where did you get the capital to purchase your first property?

Great post. I’m a SAHM mom so my mornings are a little different. But I still have found a routine with trial and error that works for me. I get up about 6am, make coffee and hot water. I usually sit for about 20ish minutes with my coffee to wake up while reading Bigger Pockets. I then have an hour and a half to do the morning chores and get my kids ready for school, then I workout. If my husband is home to help I can get to my workout sooner and the start of my “work” day is sooner, which is about 9-10am. When driving or doing menial tasks around the house I’m always listening to BP podcasts. I read every night. I barely watch tv, if ever. I would cancel my Directv if my husband didn’t need sports :). I’m learning everything I can about this business and ready to grow my portfolio.
Great question, I have been wondering the same thing. After you refinance the property and pay back the private lender how do you buy the next property, borrow again from a different lender? What if your initial private lender is family? I also apologize if this is a dumb question, I’m trying to learn how this BRRR method works with financing each property. Thanks!

Hi Nate.  I'm new to Bigger Pockets, I too will want to find a place to hang my license.  Where did you end up hanging yours and has it worked out?
