I am looking to go up to a triplex at best given my lack of experience as a landlord. Looking to keep the price under 200K.

In terms of cash flow, here is what I have in mind.

Mortgage payment for 2 years + closing cost + repairs + contingency < 2 years Rent income + 2 years rent I would've paid + equity built in 2 years.

I don't have enough experience to know if this is a realistic aim

@Carolyn Keller

I am relatively new to investing but have been living here for about 5 years. Bellevue, south side seem really good places for renting out.

I am a new investor looking for multi unit properties with the objective of living in one and renting the other to pay for at least the mortgage. Looking for people with experience in the pittsburgh market for advice on a couple of things.

I have seen really old houses in this area. What are the prospects of selling a house that is already 100+ years old provided upgrades have been made to it? Also looking for advice on areas to buy in.

Hi Tanya

I am a newbie in pittsburgh. Looking to buy a duplex in the Bellevue area and probably would benefit from some advice from you. Let's connect!

Thanks
