New Investor in Pittsburgh

Kalhan Bhan

I am a new investor looking for multi unit properties with the objective of living in one and renting the other to pay for at least the mortgage. Looking for people with experience in the pittsburgh market for advice on a couple of things.

I have seen really old houses in this area. What are the prospects of selling a house that is already 100+ years old provided upgrades have been made to it? Also looking for advice on areas to buy in.

Hi @Kalhan Bhan!

Welcome to BP! Since so many of the houses in Pittsburgh are older you shouldn't have a problem selling 100+ year old houses.

As far as area, what kind of cash flow were you looking for? Also what kind of prices were you expecting to pay and for what size property (multi unit is a bit broad)?
