Post: Real Estate Investing Team Considerations

I am interested in knowing if you have any suggestions regarding information that I can refer to as I go through the process of evaluating prospective members for a real estate investing team.

I know that there is so much great information here on BP and I don’t want to miss anything that could prove to be extremely helpful in assembling the best possible team. So in addition to my own search efforts, I am reaching out to the community for input.

Any posts, articles, etc. that you have read here and could refer me to would be greatly appreciated. I want to make sure that I ask the right questions and consider all that I need to in such a process.

Also, any additional suggestions that you have in regards to what I should look at when considering realtors, tax professionals, inspectors, insurance agents, contractors, title companies etc. would also be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance for your input.

Thanks @Will Barnard for sharing great information. In the video that you shared above, I noticed that you mentioned an issue with the kitchen ceiling drywall. Was it due to a leak caused by a problem with the roof? I would also like to know how you factor in any potential issues that may arise with the plumbing or the HVAC systems. Thank you so much for taking the time to share your knowledge. Also, you mentioned a video from your NY meetup. Is it available to view?

@Walt Payne I agree that broadening one's exposure is important. Doing so can prove to be extremely valuable in so many arenas.

You mentioned an ebook by J Scott. Would you mind sharing the title of the ebook that you are referring to? Thanks.

I recently had the opportunity to listen to Bigger Pockets Podcast 063.

Lots of great information was shared. I want to take time to highlight two of the resources that were shared. You may have already seen and read these but in case you didn’t, you may want to take a look at them. The authors have provided a tremendous amount of incredible information in these two resources. The two resources that I am referring to are “Real Estate Rewind: The BiggerPockets Community Book!” and “J Scott’s Diary of a New Construction Project”.

If you have had the chance to listen to BiggerPockets Podcast 063, I would love to hear your feedback. What were the best takeaways for you?
